Salary: Band D £26,368 – £29,664 FTE
Hours:  22.5 Hours Per Week
Term: Fixed Term - 12 months with possible extension

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Youth Work team at The Pump, a busy youth centre that engages some of the very hardest to reach young people. You will take the lead on developing and implementing training opportunities. Building upon the success of our current training programme that focuses on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art & music) subjects, we want to expand our newly accredited OCN training centre status and deliver more training and positive outcomes for young people.

Our training is focused at level 1 and 2 OCN and is usually designed to introduce topics to ages 11-25. It will aim to promote functional skills wherever possible and hopefully spark curiosity raise aspirations and broaden the horizons of disadvantaged young people.

The Pump is a charity in the heart of East Birmingham set up to support the development of all young people, with a focus on supporting those young people who experience isolation and disadvantage.

The project is housed in a 4 million pound prestigious building which was inspired by HRH Prince of Wales, designed by young people for young people and offers a range of inventive and creative solutions for young people.

Our organisation is a hub of youth work working closely with our partners to provide a holistic and integrated service to young people and provide opportunities that inspire and motivate them to be the best they can.
