ACE is seeking to appoint a dedicated Team Manager for the Family Connexion Service
Set up almost 4 years ago ACE is the regional adoption agency for Coventry, Solihull, Herefordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. ACE provides the full range of adoption services including assessment of adoptive parents, support to adoptive families including therapeutic interventions, independent support to birth families, services to adoptive adults including access to adoption records and step parent adoption work. Based on a Hub and Spoke model. Warwickshire County Council is the host agency for the regional adoption agency.
Family Connexions is the part of the regional adoption agency that delivers independent adoption support services for birth family members. Implicit in this, is the requirement for the successful applicant to have a keen interest in the area of contact and maintaining relationships for all parties affected by adoption.
Managing a small team of social workers and family support workers (letterbox coordinators) the Team Manager will need to ensure effective allocation and monitoring of workloads, be interested in delivering a creative range of services to suit the needs of birth family members and ensure that an equitable service is delivered across the region covering 5 local authority areas.
