ICT Technician

£22,183 – £24,491; Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:00, Friday 08:00-15:30; 37.5hrs per week 52 Weeks.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and professional 2nd line ICT technician, to join a newly re-established ICT Services team within a secondary school environment in Telford. As an integral part of the school’s ICT Services team, you will support ICT services colleagues, students, staff, parents and third parties with technical support.

Candidates will be expected to have substantial experience in ICT technical support delivery, ideally within the education sector. This will enable them to lead on all existing and future work and to contribute to the school’s ICT strategy design, development and delivery.

Candidates will need to be able to work in a challenging, fast paced environment, displaying excellent time management, organisation and prioritisation skills; as well as demonstrate the ability to deliver on tight deadlines and keep calm under pressure.

The successful candidate working closely with the school’s ICT manager will help shape the delivery of the school’s blended learning strategy and ICT transformation within teaching and learning environments. In addition they will be responsible for monitoring back-end server, network and operational support.
