Job role: Personal Welfare (Job No X1485)
Contract type: Part-time contract, term time only
Hours: 22.5hrs per week
Salary: Grade 2, Point 2 £9.43 per hour (£18,198 pro-rata)
Start Date: As soon as possible
The Governors of May Bank Infants School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic person to support a pupil in Early Years on a 1:1 basis. The pupil has an Education Health Care Plan and requires a nurturing and supportive approach from someone who understands their needs. Experience of working with children with Autistic Spectrum Condition would be an advantage as well as knowledge and understanding of associated behaviours and strategies. The role will include supporting the pupil with communication and interaction skills which impact significantly on the pupil’s ability to access the Early Years Curriculum. The successful applicant will work as part of an amazing Reception Team, under the guidance of the Class Teacher, to ensure that the pupil achieves to the best of their ability.
We are looking for someone who is resilient and has a positive outlook. Applicants should indicate relevant experience and personal strengths and skills to bring to the role.
The post is subject to attendance at Safeguarding Level 1 Training.
