Full-time Senior Finance Support Officer, whole year

Due to the retirement of the current post holder, we are seeking to employ a suitably qualified full-time Senior Finance Support Officer, to organise and deliver effective financial reporting and administration systems for the College

This will be an exciting and varied role and will include: supporting the Principal with the production of budgets, monitoring accounting procedures and resolving problems, accounts receivable, raising invoices, online payments, reconciliation of various bank accounts, collection of fees and recovery of bad debts, preparation of financial reports and statutory DfE returns, providing support to the Trust accountant and other related tasks.

The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, have a strong attention to detail, be results focused and enjoy working in a small busy team.  The candidates should also be proficient in MS Word and Excel, a confident and quick learner of both in-house and third party systems; experience of using PS Financials would be advantageous.  The ideal candidates would be able to problem solve, review processes, identify improvements, be flexible in their approach to work and enjoy working in a small, friendly, busy team.
