TEACHING ASSISTANT

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly skilled and well-motivated Teaching and Learning Assistant to join our hardworking and committed team.  You will work with our teachers to support teaching and learning in KS2, providing specialist support to the teacher in an aspect of the curriculum, age range or additional needs. 

Highfields Primary Academy has an excellent reputation and provides a lively and creative environment in which to work.  We gained ‘Good’ in our most recent Ofsted inspection and we are a founding member of Primitas Learning Partnership, a new Multi Academy Trust which seeks to make a positive difference in the local community. 

The successful candidate will be: 

  • a hardworking, passionate, dedicated individual with excellent communication skills 
  • the ability to work in a calm, caring but firm and supportive manner.  
  • a good sense of humour 
  • an ability to demonstrate good behaviour management skills. someone who works well within a team and can use their initiative to help pupils develop 
  • someone who will have a good understanding of Early English and Early Mathematics

Salary: Grade 3 (£18,562 - £18,933), £5,204 - £5,308 approx actual salary dependent on years’ service, 12 hours per week, term time only (38 pupil weeks plus 6 additional days, some of which may be required in the holidays), Monday to Thursday 9.00 am – 12 noon, Fixed Term. 

Start Date: 3rd January 2022 until 21st July 2022. 

Closing Date: 5th November 2021, 9.00 am
