Worcestershire Children First - Supporting Families First team

We have 2 new exciting roles for a Money Mentor within our multi-disciplinary children and family’s team who work with families directly in our Worcestershire community.

The money mentor’s salary is up to £25,579 FTE. Both are full time, 35 hours per week and are permanent positions. Both roles will have an office base at County Hall, Worcester Worcestershire but will require some county-wide travel.

About us:

Supporting Families First are looking for candidates who enjoy working with other practitioners to create positive changes for our children and young people here in Worcestershire. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary safeguarding team; all working together to strengthen families and help them make changes to the challenges and difficulties they face.

The service is led by an experienced team with Social Workers, Outreach workers, Youth mentors, Money mentors, Substance misuse workers, Emotional health & well-being workers, Clinical Lead and Family Support Workers all supported by dedicated Team Managers, Administration team and a Group Manager.  

The money Mentors role:

In the role of money mentor, you will:

You will support families to develop a deeper understanding around household finance,

Assist them on their journey into work or training

Support them in accessing the right financial help

Advise them and support them on managing debt.  

We provide you with peer and management support alongside individual and group reflective supervisions to support you in the role.
