Salary up to £32,851

Worcestershire Children First is looking for a Commissioning Officer to join our team.  The Commissioning Officer will support the Commissioning Manager, using the commissioning cycle to understand needs, design and source services to meet those needs, and manage contracts with adult social care service and education providers.

You will join a Commissioning Team working to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions to social care and educational provision in Worcestershire.  Working with a wide range of partners including people who use services and family carers, this is an opportunity to support the reshaping of services within Worcestershire to commission high quality, value for money services and improve outcomes for children and young people.

Key skills and experience:

You need to have good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with colleagues and partners.  You also need to demonstrate the ability to manage your own work programme, to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, working flexibly and responding to changing demands.

The Commissioning Officer post requires the ability to organise, analyse, interpret, and present complex information.  You will need to demonstrate that you have experience of delivering service development and improvement, partnership working and report writing, and that you have worked in a field relevant to the role.
