Full-Time: 35 hours

The Role:

Are you relentlessly creative?

Are you always looking to produce unique and engaging content and communications to reach a wide range of audiences across a wide range of channels?

Then we want to hear from you.

We have a number of opportunities within our Content and Communications team for communication specialists who are proactive in their thinking and unstoppable in their creativity.

Communication has never been more important:

During the pandemic, our Content and Communications team has gone above and beyond to ensure we have remained connected with our residents across the county… and we don’t plan on stopping any time soon. Never before has what we communicate and how we communicate been so important.

We’re looking for highly creative individuals who are prepared to take their job role by the horns and elevate our communications – from social media to local engagement. You will need to be highly skilled in communication campaigns, delivering communications through content to, and engaging with, various audiences across multiple social media channels, online, in the media and pretty much every other way of communicating you can think of!

We’re looking for applicants who have a track record of managing and delivering imaginative campaigns and will bring with them a real passion for creating compelling communication plans and content.

The roles available include:

Communication Specialist for Visit Worcestershire - temporary until March 2024:

Our county full of hidden gems, breath-taking views, roaring lions, adventure, history and, well, just so much MORE! We are looking for someone to raise the profile of Worcestershire as place to visit and stay by promoting our county through social media, website and traditional media in addition to building up a good B2B relationship with local businesses.

Communication Specialist for Libraries - permanent:

Libraries are at the heart of our communities here in Worcestershire and the County Council is extremely proud of its thriving library service. Our libraries offer so much to all ages, whether it’s job clubs for those looking to get into employment, social connecting groups where people can meet new friends, to health walks to help people stay fit and active. Our Library Service is constantly evolving so it meets the needs of our residents and we want someone to help us shout out from the rooftops about what the service has to offer and come up with exciting and innovative content to do just that.

Communication Specialist for Social Media - permanent:

We’re looking for a social media expert who can help us take our social channels to the next level in addition to being a great all-round communications guru! We want a content led approach to everything we do and we want someone to help us to do that – from creating social only campaigns from scratch, to supporting the delivery of the social media elements of other communications plans to helping support the web content for WCC and One Worcestershire – this role will never be classed as mundane!!
