Job Details

Old Park is a very successful Special School for pupils between the ages of 4-19 years.

All of our pupils have severe or profound learning difficulties and all have Education, Health and Care plans to ensure their needs are met. Many pupils have sensory impairments or complex medical conditions and we have a significant number of autistic pupils.

We have a dedicated staff team and our most recent Ofsted (November 2018) judged us to be an outstanding school for the third time.

The Governors of Old Park School are looking to recruit a number of Special Needs Support Workers to support the emotional, physical and sensory needs of pupils within a class/phase group. These staff will support pupils in accessing curriculum activities such as swimming, rebounding and other physical activities, both on and off-site, whilst also assisting during the lunchtime period.

Hours:             27.5 hours per week (9.00am – 3.00pm) Term Time only 39 weeks per year

Salary:             Grade 4 £12,335 - £15,582 (Actual)

Location:         Old Park School, Thorns Road, Brierley Hill, DY5 2JY

Special Needs Support Workers will be required to attend mandatory training which maybe outside of the normal working pattern.
