School Librarian & Literacy Co-Ordinator
37 hours per week, Term Time only
The Hart School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, driven and pro-active School Librarian and Literacy Co-ordinator to undertake the day to day running of the library, as well as support the school’s Literacy Lead in promoting literacy and reading for pleasure across the school. The postholder will be someone who is able to use their initiative, conduct research and develop strategies to increase access to the library and to promote library activities. We are looking for someone with a passion for reading who can work with children and young people to help them reach their potential.
Ideally with some experience of working in a library setting within a school or a college, you will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to relate well to a wide range of people. You must be methodical, well organised, and have strong ICT skills, with a fundamental desire to support children’s literacy and learning.
If you believe that you have these qualities, are passionate about being involved in the growth of students and are interested in working as part of our school team, then we look forward to hearing from you.
