We would like to offer the exciting opportunity to apply for an inclusion focused leadership role at Marlborough Primary School which is part of Leigh Trust.

We are an inclusive school that places great importance on the development and success of all children. The school has very high expectations and standards of behaviour and has effective strategies in place to engage children before, during and after the school day. The school has a number of strong partnerships with external agencies and an

important role within the community.

The governors at Marlborough Primary School are seeking to appoint a passionate, enthusiastic, highly motivated and outstanding primary specialist to lead the pastoral and behaviour management teams and to play a significant role in ensuring the safeguarding of pupils.

We are looking for an Inclusion and Safeguarding Manager who:

  • will support the vision, ethos and policies of the school and promote high levels of achievement and attainment
  • has sound understanding of school self-evaluation and how this can be used to raise standards
  • has SENCO Qualification
  • will provide strategic direction and development in the areas of: SEND, EAL, pastoral support, behaviour and attendance
  • will lead the half termly Inclusion meetings and regularly update SLT about progress made towards achieving key priorities
  • has successful experience of developing teaching and learning strategies to meet the needs of all pupils and their continuing development
  • will be responsible for the performance management and professional development of members within the Inclusion Team
  • can liaise with appropriate external agencies and professionals
  • has a secure understanding and knowledge of safeguarding procedures within schools
  • is committed to promoting effective teamwork and is able to build supportive relationships with colleagues
  • will, once training has been undertaken, take on a Designated Safeguarding Lead responsibility.
