Assistant Technician -Schools Traded Service - Ref: RT11921
G3: £18,933 to 19,698 per annum (pro rata to hours worked - term time only)
Contract: Fixed Term for 12 months, Term time.
Hours: 37 per week covering shift patterns between 0830 am and 1700 pm

We need an additional team member to help deliver our desktop, server, cloud and network support services to schools across the Walsall region.

The ICT Traded Service Team are part of the Customer Services team providing IT support to Schools throughout the borough which requires them to visit school sites to repair equipment, install software and troubleshoot any issues within a regular visit slot.
The ICT Traded Service Team take front line calls during peak periods but also they are responsible for more complex and time consuming incidents. The ICT Traded Service Team are responsible for resolving technical incidents and for escalating or passing incidents to other teams within ICT Traded Service Team, Corporate ICT or third party external suppliers.
The ICT Traded Service Team also provides advice and guidance to schools about investing in new technology and can facilitate purchases on behalf of schools.
