Salary G8 £30,451 - £34,728 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Youth Justice Service in Walsall. The Youth Justice Service is a multi-agency service with the principle aim or preventing and reducing youth offending in Walsall. 

Walsall Youth Justice is a Service that is continually improving and striving for excellence; we are keen that the successful candidates continue to achieve the best results for children and young people in Walsall and their victims. We are looking for motivated and positive practitioners ideally with previous employment experience working with children and young people in a criminal justice setting.

Your role will be to manage young people who have been convicted of an offence and are subject to a court ordered intervention. You will need to understand both the Criminal Justice System and child and adolescent development. We are looking for practitioners who are enthusiastic, dedicated and committed to achieving real change in people’s lives and a team player.

Qualification:

You will need to be a qualified social worker, probation officer, or have a relevant, good quality honours degree in addition to the Youth Justice Effective Practice Certificate (or PCEP) or be prepared to complete this in your first year of employment.
