Access to Children’s Personal Information Officer  

Salary:  £20,903- £23,541  per annum (pro rata)

33 Hours per week –Permanent

About the role

The opportunity has arisen to join a small, busy team in Staffordshire County Council Families & Communities, responding to both data subject requests including the right of access, the right to rectification and the right to erasure/be forgotten and information sharing requests from outside agencies.

What you’ll bring

You will have knowledge and understanding of data subject rights under the Data Protection Act 2018 /UK GDPR and a general knowledge of childcare legislation.  

It’s essential to have both an understanding of the needs of vulnerable children/adults and the impact social care involvement may have on them, along with an understanding about safeguarding; including an ability to identify potential risks in releasing sensitive data.

The role requires working through a significant number of confidential documents, therefore attention to detail is essential.

You will have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
