The Role
Our broad spectrum Special School, which is part of Unity MAT, caters for pupils aged 4-19 years. We have a warm, mutually supportive and caring ethos with dedicated and skilled staff who are highly aspirational and committed to pupil welfare, progress and life-chances.
Core purpose:
- To provide a high quality educational experience for all children.
- Teach a class/groups of pupils, ensuring that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their complex learning, personal and social needs.
- Maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Contribute to constructive team-building amongst teaching and non-teaching staff, parents and governors.
Key Requirements
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reflective and creative teacher to join our friendly and ambitious school. Experience of working with pupils with a range of complex needs is desirable. A passion for enabling pupils with SEN to achieve their full potential is essential.
The vacancy is to cover maternity leave in the Secondary Department (full-time), commencing January 2022.
Relevant Allowances: SEN Allowance.
