Salary:    £30,492 - £32,851 
Full-Time: 35 hours
Location: Worcester
Temporary: until 31st August 2023


The Role:

Worcestershire County Council's Skills team supports the Local Enterprise Partnership in Worcestershire to develop and deliver the skills strategy for the county by understanding the employment needs of our economy both now and in the future. This strategy includes the initiative “Inspiring Worcestershire” focused on supporting Worcestershire's education establishments from Years 7 and above to improve their careers education. This exciting new role as an Enterprise Co-Ordinator for Employer Engagement will support the strategy across several strands of work. 

The successful applicant will contribute, over an 18-month period, to supporting the delivery of a range of projects which require employer involvement and support. These projects could include the recruitment of volunteers from business who would directly support schools in varying activities and the promotion of transition options to business such as Apprenticeships, T Levels placements, and Traineeships placements across Worcestershire‘s business networks.

This role will require the applicant to develop and strengthen existing and build new business relationships. Reporting to and working closely with a range of partners, including the Local Enterprise Partnership, the Growth Hub and the Chamber of Commerce to ensure that your role contributes to deliver the desired outputs, outcomes, and benefits to meet programme targets.

The successful applicant will need strong communication, business networking skills and a high level of attention to detail. Reporting to the Programme Manager this role will work flexibly and from our Wildwood campus in Worcester.
