Boney Hay Primary Academy is part of the Staffordshire University Academy Trust. Boney Hay is a happy caring place with a dedicated and enthusiastic staff and over 180 super children. The school is situated next to the open area of Gentleshaw Common and is very close to Cannock Chase, an area of outstanding natural beauty. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, passionate HLTA to join our team on a permanent contract. If you are a child-centred, hard-working professional, committed to working as part of a team, we would welcome your application.

The post will involve:

  • Differentiating the curriculum to meet the needs of all children
  • Planning and leading intervention
  • Teaching classes to release teachers for PPA
  • Liaising with teachers and parents
  • Cover for short notice teacher absence

 

 

We are looking for someone with:

  • The HLTA status or equivalent
  • Experience of teaching whole classes especially within KS1 and KS2
  • A good understanding of SEND within a primary school setting
  • A passion for securing the best outcomes for children
  • A positive outlook with a sense of humour and a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to establish and sustain constructive relationships with children and adults
  • The ability to use their initiative and be flexible
  • A desire to play a full part in the life of the school and the local community
