LGV Vehicle Technician

We are seeking to recruit a fully qualified LGV Vehicle Technician who will operate from one of our four workshops and provide a vehicle maintenance service; delivering high quality and comprehensive repair and maintenance service for our fleet of vehicles.
BCC are recruiting skilled mechanics for its busy workshops. The work will consist of working on Heavy Goods vehicles and knowledge of electrics and hydraulics would be advantageous but essential. You will be working a compressed working week of 36.50 hours and the working pattern will be any four days a week Monday to Friday. Your none working day will be agreed if you are successful in the post. BCC currently operate four workshops, from Perry Barr, Bordesley, Tyseley and Kings Norton.
You must hold a C entitlement on your driving licence (Class 2) and have level 3 City & Guilds, Btec or equivalent in HGV mechanics. Working with hydraulics and electrics would be advantageous but not essential as training will be offered.
Working in a waste environment would be advantageous but not essential but you must have experience in maintaining heavy goods vehicles.
