The Role
We are delighted to be looking to appoint two highly enthusiastic, motivated teaching assistants to work in our friendly and caring environment.

Key Requirements
•Minimum of GCSE/ (or equivalent) English and Maths at grades A – C.
•Have good communication and listening skills and be able to present information verbal and in writing.
•Have experience of TA work.
•Understand school’s policies and how they relate to local and national frameworks/policies. (e.g. child protection).
•Can use ICT effectively to support learning and use other technology equipment.
•Can plan own work when required.
•Can transfer theory/training into practice.
•Can solve problems and can exercise initiative and independent action.
•Is pro-active in offering ideas and support to class teacher
•Be willing to undertake other appropriate training.
•Understand special educational needs.
•Have knowledge of school rules, procedures, policies.
•Display commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people.
•Value and respect the views and needs of children.
•Can understand and support the curriculum.
•Be able to use technology as a learning tool – eg computer, video.
•Be able to operate technological equipment – e.g. photocopier, digital camera.
•Have good communication and listening skills.
•Be able to take direction but also take initiative when required.
•Have experience of working (paid or unpaid) with children of appropriate age range though no previous experience of work as a TA requirement.
•Be able to relate well to children and adults.
•Can solve straightforward problems and respond to unforeseen circumstances (eg hazards, accidents etc)

You would work under the overall supervision of the responsible teacher, assist and support teaching and learning, provide for general care, safety and welfare of pupils and work with individuals or groups of pupils.
