Casual Residential Child Care Support Worker
Required for Children’s Residential Homes Across the Borough of Dudley
Grade: 6. £11.49 per hour at basic rate, with additional enhanced Sleep in and Weekend rates as applicable.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in Dudley Local Authority to join our casual staffing list to cover shifts within our internal children’s residential homes, as part of our Business Continuity Plans for the service.
As part of our Business Continuity Plan this is a casual contract that will require the flexibility to work within any of our three children’s homes as and when required.
Dudley’s children are first and at the heart of all we do, and this needs to be characterised within any potential candidates working ethics.
Our residential homes provide care and support to children and young people from
the Dudley Borough.
We offer a positive living experience for children and young people, working on a medium to long term basis with young people of either gender, who are unable to live with their families because of their special or complex needs.
Under the supervision of a registered manager, you will contribute to all aspects of the physical and emotional care of the children so as to promote their welfare whilst working in partnership with the family and other professionals.
If you are child centred with a consistent approach and feel you could contribute to the safeguarding and the quality care of children and young people in residential care, then we would like to hear from you.
All employees have a duty to carry out their work with due regard for the health and safety of themselves, other employees, and the public.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children; therefore, the post is subject to medical clearance and an enhanced DBS check.
