Teaching and Learning Advisor

Salary:  £37,890 - £41,881 per annum

37 Hours per week – Permanent

We are looking for a talented professional to drive and enhance the quality of provision for the Community Learning Service and to secure outstanding outcomes for Staffordshire learners.

This is a key role to support continuous improvement in teaching, learning and assessment through the implementation of quality assurance and tutor development activities.  

The role will be fundamental in the future development of our online, blended and face-to-face provision and supporting teaching staff to deliver innovative learning, including using digital tools.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Carrying out quality assurance activities to contribute to service improvements, including regular quality performance conversations with suppliers of commissioned services
  • Sharing sector specific best practice and innovation to shape the future of the service, including digital innovation
  • Supporting teaching staff to develop their practice using mentoring and coaching approaches
  • Organising, developing and delivering Provider Engagement Events and tutor CPD in person and using online methods/tools.
  • Ensuring compliance with all matters related to safeguarding, Prevent, health & safety and equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes, working in a challenging and changing environment

To be successful in this role you will require a teaching qualification at minimum level 5 (eg DET or equivalent), knowledge and experience of the Adult and Community Learning sector and of digital learning technologies.
