Birmingham City Council - Children’s Occupational Therapy Service has an exciting opportunity to recruit a Children’s Occupational Therapists.

1 x Post full time post fixed term for 2 years - 36.5 hours per week

 

The Children’s Occupational Therapy service at Birmingham City Council has changed a lot recently and not just because of COVID-19!

As a service we have adapted in recent years working more agilely and flexibly to support our diverse communities in Birmingham through new ways of working. The roles work within a specialist service with Children, Young people and their families with disabilities and chronic long-term conditions in Birmingham. The roles focus on the assessment of Children, Young people and their families within the community including their home setting.

 

 

 

The work is varied and use the professional core skills as well as developing specialist knowledge and experience in activity adjustment, paediatric equipment, seating, adaptations and behavioural management. This is an exciting opportunity to stretch your problem-solving skills and cross- partnership working.

 

The Children’s Occupational Therapy Service is a small but dynamic team who have presented at RCOT Conference in the past and members have been in various positions on board for the RCOT locally and nationally.

We are passionate about innovation and delivering gold standard practice to the citizens of Birmingham.
