About Us and The Role 

Warwickshire has a fantastic fostering team. We recruit foster carers, assess them, take applicants to our virtual fostering panel and offer our Warwickshire foster carers training and support. We also have an SGO (Special Guardianship Order) support team and have a Fostering Placement Hub. We are countywide and have links with Fostering Network to support us and our foster carers. We are fortunate to have a psychologist who is based in our team. In addition to this Warwickshire offers wide ranging training. Our staff group is made up of fostering support workers and social workers. Our team is growing to match the needs of the children in Warwickshire. We are proud of our Fostering Team and if you join us you will see why.  

The role of the Recruitment, Assessment and Training Team Leader is a key position. We do have a specialised recruitment agency with an advertising and social platform specialism who manage incoming enquires and undertake initial visits. You will have oversight of this and will shape how they work. We are passionate about bringing more foster carers to Warwickshire, if you share this aspiration, we would like to hear from you. You will manage a small team of assessing social workers, they primarily assess mainstream foster carers but on occasion will assess connected persons foster carers. Your role will be to support, and quality assure the work from this team. Alongside this you will oversee the Foster Carer Training. We have a dedicated and experienced Training Manager who will support you. Your team will deliver preparation training for foster carers and various other training to support carers with virtual or direct training packages. Our foster carers are accredited through QDF and skills levels. Your team members are all experienced in their job role.  

You will be joining a team where your work will be child focused, analytical and based on safeguarding evidence. We are looking for a part-time Team Leader for 22.5 hours per week.
