An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Health & Safety Officer to join our existing team of highly respected health and safety professionals on a part time basis.

Hours:  18.5 per week

You will be required to assist in the provision of a comprehensive health and safety advisory service for the Council, providing practical advice for managers, carrying out inspections, running training courses, investigating accidents and will assist with the development of health and safety policies and Codes of Practice. Initially the post will support Children's Services-Schools with a view to progressing into other areas within the Council's control as part of your continuing professional development. With a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health (or able to provide evidence of experience and qualifications of equivalent status), you will have previous health and safety experience preferably in a multi- disciplinary organisation or similar environment and possess excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing. You must possess a full valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
