Glenthorne Community Primary School is a happy, nurturing and successful primary school, which is rated 'Good' by Ofsted. Currently, we have an exciting opportunity to appoint an excellent classroom practitioner who, together with our committed and talented team, will inspire children to achieve high outcomes. We need a teacher who is dedicated, enthusiastic and who is committed to raising standards. They should have a detailed knowledge of how children learn, along with the understanding, empathy and determination required to ensure that they succeed.

We need a teacher who:

  • models high standards and has high aspirations for all children,
  • provides creative, high quality learning opportunities for children,
  • promotes the welfare of children within school and to safeguard their interests at all times,
  • works effectively as a member of the teaching team contributing to the care and holistic well-being and development of children,
  • will work with colleagues and leaders to contribute to whole school development and curriculum,
  • works with families and our local community to support children`s learning,
  • has a strong commitment to inclusive practice
  • has a sense of fun and a strong desire to achieve
  • has knowledge and/or experience of KS2.
