We’re looking for a caring, dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Summit School, a tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) unit.

Cygnet Summit School:
Summit School is the specialist provider of education for all young people admitted to Cygnet Joyce Parker Hospital. Teaching happens within a well-resourced school unit, equipped with ICT equipment, interactive whiteboards, sports hall and outdoor areas.
Your Day-to-Day…
- Assist with the planning, preparation & implementation of learning activities
- Devise structured activities that interest & motivate learners and advance their learning
- Cover and lead class teaching (under supervision) as & when appropriate
- Direct the work, where relevant, of other adults in supporting learning
- Assist with the physical management of equipment
- Support the management of students’ behaviour within the school’s agreed policies
- General supervision duties & helping the teacher in designated tasks.
You are…
- An experienced Teaching Assistant/Teacher
- Able to successfully lead learning activities for groups of children
- A confident people person with both adults & children
- Experienced in planning & leading educational activities (under supervision)
- An effective team player and excellent written & verbal communicator
- The holder of at least five GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) including English & Maths and/or a Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification.
