Advanced Social Work Practitioner
Salary: £35,745 - £38,890
An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Social Work Practitioner to work for Worcestershire County Council within the Redditch Area Team. This is an adult social care team. This is a full-time position, 37 hours per week and is based in Parkside Bromsgrove.
The team have adopted the 3 Conversation approach to person centred work with adults over 18 years. Your role is to support this practice both in formal and informal supervision, and to support the co-ordination and facilitation of weekly reflective practice for the team.
You will also support the operational duties of the team by providing expert knowledge of the adult social care system including supporting and enabling social workers/ social care workers to practice a strength-based approach to working with people. You will support and oversee the duty function of the team. There is also the opportunity to take responsibility for close link working with a Neighbourhood team. This involves taking part in regular MDT meetings alongside District Nurses, GP’s, and Neighbourhood Team. The post involves supporting workers appropriately to work closely with health colleagues.
To be successful in the post you will have significant post-qualifying experience, and clear identifiable career progression. Ideally you will have completed Practice Educator 01 and EO2 and have previous experience of supervising/supporting social work practitioners.
The suitable candidate will be supported with regular supervision, support, and will be joining a strong management team. There is a management training programme available to support your progression.
