Strategic Policy Officer (2 posts available)

Salary:  £32,234- £36,922 per annum

37 Hours per week – External / Internal Secondment / Fixed Term - until 31 March 2023

About the role

Do you want to be at the heart of driving forward Staffordshire County Council’s priorities, and improving outcomes for the people of Staffordshire? Are you inquisitive, analytical, and able to write and communicate compellingly?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join the Policy and Insight Team as a Strategic Policy Officer on a secondment / Fixed Term (up to March 2023). You will have the opportunity to influence and shape the strategic direction and decision-making, across the County Council. You will be working in an ambitious fast paced team, working to support the Wider Leadership Team, Senior Leadership Team and Cabinet to explore opportunities, and positively respond to the challenges facing local public services.

There will be significant opportunity for agile working (with the option of an office base) and based on business need.

What you’ll bring

We are seeking 2 flexible, dynamic professionals. You’ll bring a passion for public services along with great analytical and communication skills. We would welcome hearing from recent graduates as well as colleagues with indirect experience.
