School Crossing Patrol Assistant (2 posts)

Fixed term for 12 months

Salary £20,903- £23,541 per annum

This post is a Term Time role - 39 weeks to be worked per annum

Are you looking for an opportunity to work with great people in a unique setting?

Our school crossing patrol service is looking for 2 Assistant’s to support the management team in day to day activities in running this key service.

Operating across 250 sites throughout Staffordshire, the School Crossing Patrol service helps the children and adults of our communities safely cross roads on their journeys to and from school.

About the role

Supporting our team of Area Managers the main duties include:

  • Undertaking site assessments of crossing locations in accordance with national guidance
  • Liaising with Patrols, undertaking site supervision and welfare visits
  • Assist with the delivery of training and new staff inductions sessions
  • Maintain databases, collating data and producing reports and using the full range of Microsoft packages as part of your daily work

What you’ll bring

Working in our School Crossing service requires teamwork, good organisational skills and a good level of competency using IT systems.

You’ll also need:

  • Good communication skills because you’ll interact with lots of people across the organisation and externally through phone, in person and email
  • Experience in the development, analysis and management of databases/information systems
  • A flexible approach to work as sometimes things can change, and so you’ll need to be able to prioritise work and sometimes change tasks quickly
  • A passion to always give the best service

The role will be based in Stafford. We are, however, currently working both from the office and remotely and it is anticipated that this will continue. There will also be a requirement for county wide travel so access to a vehicle is essential.
