Contract: Permanent, part time (18.5 hours per week)
Salary: Grade 9 £33,782- £38,890 per annum pro-rata to hours worked

We are seeking a part time Social Worker to join North Adult Locality Team.

If you are a motivated and solution focused individual with substantial post qualifying social work experience, who is interested in helping to shape and deliver our services, and contribute to the development of a model of best practice for the area, then we would like to hear from you. You will work alongside a Team of Social Care and Occupational Therapy practitioners. You must have experience of social work within an adult locality community team and will be expected to demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of Care Act legislation, Mental Capacity Act. You will be experienced in completing care act assessments, devising strengths based support plans and outcome focussed reviews. You will also have experience of safeguarding adults and of working to demonstrate a commitment to empowering our service users and carers.

In return, we offer regular supervision and peer support, and a commitment to your ongoing career development and progression. We will ensure you are given the opportunity to access post qualifying training and ongoing development opportunities. Social Workers wishing to undertake post qualifying award training will be encouraged and supported to do so.  The successful applicant must be registered as a Social Worker with Social Work England.

This post is covered by the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers. The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
