Job Start Date: as soon as possible

We require a play co-ordinator to start as soon as possible, to join our enthusiastic lunchtime team. Beeches Junior School is a good school on a shared site with Perry Beeches Nursery School, Beeches Infant School, Arena Academy and Priestley Smith School. We have excellent facilities, and offer our children a range of play activities during their lunch break. We welcome applications from enthusiastic and adaptable team-players who enjoy working with children. Previous experience of working with children would be an advantage. The successful applicant will primarily lead play and sport activities with groups of children during the lunch break. This will usually be outside, but will sometimes be inside due to inclement weather. The successful applicant will also assist with the general running of the lunch break, including assisting children in the dining hall when necessary. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020. Which means that when applying for certain jobs and activities certain spent convictions and cautions are ‘protected’, so they do not need to be disclosed to employers, and if they are disclosed, employers cannot take them into account. Further information about filtering offences can be found in the DBS filtering guide.

Closing Date: 26 November 2021, 12 noon

For more details and an application form, please contact Kim Gillespie via the school office. Informal visits are very welcome.
