About Us

There is an opportunity to work in Business Support providing support to the Special Educational Needs Disability Assessment and Review Service (Sendar) and the Educational Psychologists Service. This delivery area has responsibility for supporting the needs of children and young people from 0 to 25 years old who have special educational needs and/or disabilities.

The purpose of the team is to coordinate and provide comprehensive and professional administrative and operational support for teams across the SEND service. Officers work with schools, parents, and other professional services to deliver a high standard of work under pressure throughout the year.

About the Role

The work is interesting, varied and can be challenging at times, although very rewarding. The successful candidate will need excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate staff.

As a Business Support Team Lead you will have overall responsibility for the team delivering administrative support for both services. You will make sure officers fulfil their duties in a professional and timely fashion. You will work closely with the Education Services Hub Manager to continually review and improve the service where needed. You will work closely with other team leads in Education Services to offer support when needed.

The role will suit someone who is adaptable, proactive, and keen to make a difference. The successful candidate will have opportunity to get involved in change, promote the service, and deliver improvements for service users. The Team Lead post is a generic role across Business Support.

Knowledge of Synergy used by Education Services would be ideal, and an understanding of the Special Educational Needs Code of practice would be desirable.
