Chief Executive – Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Staffordshire

With the current post holder retiring in early 2022, Staffordshire’s Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (PFCC) is seeking to appoint a knowledgeable, skilled and experienced Chief Executive to support the delivery of his two key strategies; the Police and Crime Plan and the Fire and Rescue Plan; and to run an effective and efficient office.

The successful candidate will provide dynamic leadership to the Office of the PFCC and be a visible and influential strategic leader across Staffordshire, building strong relationships based on trust and collaborative approaches to solve problems. Working with Staffordshire Police, the Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service and other partners, the role is key to helping establish a safer Staffordshire.

Working closely with the PFCC and the Deputy PFCC, the Chief Executive will oversee the commissioning and delivery of a wide range of community safety services, be capable of working at national and regional levels as well as locally and must ensure that the Commissioner’s legal and statutory obligations are met.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate significant skills and experience in strategic leadership, preferably within the public sector, and an in-depth understanding of community safety.
