Hagley Catholic High School is part of the Emmaus Catholic Multi Academy Company, which consists of nine primary schools and one secondary school. Hagley Catholic High School is a highly successful, Catholic high school with a current population of 1138 students aged 11 – 18 including a Sixth Form of 200.  The school is dedicated to developing a Catholic community in which all students work towards fulfilling their potential in a safe and supportive environment.

The school has a Pupil Admission Number of 190 with six forms of entry. The school enjoys an excellent reputation and commands a high degree of parental and parish support.  Students come to Hagley mainly from Kidderminster, Stourbridge, Halesowen, Stourport-on-Severn, Bewdley and South West Birmingham.

Hagley Catholic High School is looking to recruit a teacher of Mathematics for the start of the summer term or the beginning of the next academic year. It would be desirable that the candidate has the ability to teach across all year groups from KS3 to KS5. Applications are welcomed by all including NQT’s.

There is also an opportunity for a Head of Year position (TLR 2b). Candidates who are interested in this additional responsibility should make this clear on their application and outline in their personal statement their experience in order to fulfil this role also. Hagley Catholic High School is a high performing school (P8 = +0.34 in 2019) set in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside with very good transport links, including a main train line to Birmingham and Worcester. It is a happy and caring school with a very strong Catholic ethos, community cohesion and commitment to global justice through its charity work. The Math's Department is popular and very well regarded.  It has a very well-established team of staff; schemes of learning are well sequenced, and students make excellent progress. Students secure very good GCSE results, 89.3% achieving 9 – 4 grades in 2019 and 35.1% of students achieving 7 - 9 grades. The department also secured an excellent Average Math's progress 8 score of +0.28 placing it well above the national average.

Students achieve well in Mathematics at A level and are consistently above national averages.
