The Headteacher and Governors of St Chad’s C of E (VC) First School wish to appoint a suitability experienced Clerical Assistant to our admin team.

The role will include:

  • Representing the school in a professional manner
  • Being the first point of contact for parents and visitors
  • Handling incoming telephone enquires
  • Support with the delivery of first aid
  • Supporting the Office Manager with administration and clerical duties

Experience of working in a school would be advantageous, but it is not essential. The successful candidate must have excellent administrative, organisation and planning skills and be familiar and competent with different Microsoft package. In addition, a knowledge and experience of operating databases, eg; SIMs and Parentpay would be desirable. You will need the ability to work flexibly, prioritising workloads within this very busy and varied role. All administrative staff are required to support the whole school as and when necessary.

Salary:            £17,842 (Pro-rata) (£9.25 per hour- with a pay review pending)

Scale:             Grade 1

Location:        St Chad’s C of E (VC) First School, Pattingham, Wolverhampton WV6 7AQ

Vacancy:       Part Time – Temporary Maternity Cover (Term time only)

Number of Hours:    20 hrs (8.30am to 12.30am Monday to Friday), with some additional overtime hours each week.

This position is subject to a criminal records check from the Disclosure and Barring Service which will require you to disclose details of all unspent and infiltered spent reprimands, formal warnings, cautions and convictions in your application form.
