Working Hours: 30 hours across 4 days (days will be agreed with the successful candidate) term time 39.2 working weeks

The role:

Wolgarston High School part of Penk Valley Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a Learning Mentor, the primary role of our learning mentor is raising student aspirations, engaging student learning and empowering students to overcome barriers to reaching their full potential. The post requires an individual who is able to work as part of a team, support class teachers, and manage students on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and whole class settings.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Learning Mentor to further their experience and contribute to the positive achievement of our students. Knowledge, experience or the willingness to learn in delivering, assessing and moderating the ASDAN would be advantageous.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop current skills and gain greater experience in working with young people. You'll be kept busy, working with pupils aged 13 to 18, your day will be varied and exciting; delivering learning and coaching to pupils to help them overcome issues such as anger management, emotional difficulties and academic struggles. The successful candidate will be dynamic, resilient, and flexible; dedicated to supporting pupils to achieve and progress.
