Horton Lodge School is an exceptional special school for children aged 2-11years with physical disabilities and associated needs. An exciting opportunity has arisen for four outstanding practitioners to join our team a temporary basis. The teaching assistant posts available are:

• X1 Grade 5 one to one support, 19.5 hours (Monday to Wednesday 8:45-3:45). SCP 6 – 9, £19,698 - £20,903 Full Time Equivalent, to pro rata to term time only
• X1 Grade 5 one to one support, 32.5 hours (Monday to Friday 8.45-3.45). SCP 6 – 9, £19,6998 - £20,903 Full Time Equivalent, to pro rata to term time only

• X1 Grade 3 general teaching assistant, 32.5 hours (maternity cover). SCP 3 – 4, £18,562 - £18,933 Full Time Equivalent to pro rata to term time only

Those employed on a one to one TA basis will support an individual pupil to achieve their potential in their learning, physical independence and social skills and will ensure that their medical needs are met. The successful candidates will truly hold the pupils’ wellbeing and learning at the centre of all they do, have good interpersonal skills, high standards and expectations and an understanding of the difficulties faced by young people with disabilities. A commitment to undertake training and implement new initiatives is required.
