Salary: £37,890- £41,881 per annum

Staffordshire ICT is responsible for the delivery of ICT services to Staffordshire County Council and some of its partners. These new posts are responsible for defining and leading on the delivery of technology strategies that will ensure that the council is well placed to deliver leading edge digital services as part of its transformational journey. Technologies will include cloud resources (IAAS, PAAS and SAAS) as well as on premise data centres, networks (the council has one of the largest Public Sector networks in the UK connecting all Council, Health and Fire establishments); end user compute solutions and technologies that help us to manage operational and security arrangements.
We are currently looking for three Technical Architects that will be responsible for End User Computing, Cloud Infrastructure and Networks, these roles will work closely together working in the ICT Architecture Team.
These three architects will provide technical leadership for ICT architecture and lead on the development and maintenance of architectural plans and roadmaps to ensure that current and future Business and ICT requirements are met.
Candidates will be expected to have substantial experience in their specialised area to enable them to take a lead on all existing and future work and to be the subject matter expert within ICT
Whilst the architects are responsible for roadmaps, plans, and standards in their specialist areas this is also a hands-on role as the successful candidates will be expected to lead technically on proof of concept pilots and the implementation of new technologies.
In addition to the technical aspects of the role the successful candidate will be required to possess the personal qualities which make them capable of liaising at all levels with key business customers both internal and external as well as other teams within ICT
They will need to be able to work in a challenging fast paced environment, displaying excellent time management and resource/conflict management skills, as well as demonstrate the ability to deliver on tight deadlines and keep calm under pressure.
