Civil Enforcement Officer
Dudley Council is responsible for on-street parking enforcement across the Borough and is therefore looking for suitable individuals to join our well established parking management team.
Hours: 37 per week (including regular evenings, weekends and most Bank Holidays).
Salary: Grade 4
Our Civil Enforcement Officers are the eyes and ears of the local community, patrolling areas, providing parking advice to residents, businesses and visitors. We require highly motivated individuals with a demonstrable commitment to customer service to provide an efficient and effective service of parking enforcement within Dudley Metropolitan Borough, enforcing the provisions of the Traffic Management Act 2004, in order to minimise illegal parking acts through the issue of Penalty Charge Notices in appropriate cases.
Your duties will include foot patrols of on-street and off-street parking, either individually or as part of a team, in all weathers, to identify contraventions of appropriate regulations and record and issue Penalty Charge Notices using computerised systems, accurately and efficiently. You will regularly be required to drive a vehicle (provided by the council) to travel to outlying locations in the Borough. A full driving licence is essential.
