Elective Home Education Officer – Term Time Only
Salary Grade – Scale 6
Permanent Post – 28 hours per week
Salary up to £17,500
Temporary Post (until 31st March 2022) – 35 hours per week
Salary up to £21,875
Based at County Hall, Worcester.
We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and highly motivated professionals, with significant experience of the challenges faced by children and young people, to work collaboratively with families to ensure that all those who are electively home educated are receiving a suitable education, leading to improved overall outcomes for children.
The Elective Home Education Officer is an exciting post, and is a key role within the Vulnerable Learners team of Worcestershire Children First. In addition to ensuring that the statutory duties associated with children who are electively home educated are fulfilled, the post-holder will need to build on strong partnerships with families, educational settings, social care and our SEND services. This post will offer advice and guidance to families, and support and challenge to schools, and will be central to the Local Authority fulfilling their statutory duties; ensuring that all children are receiving the education to which they are entitled.
