Property Maintenance

Start Date: ASAP

Reports to: Site Manager

Starting salary: NJC Grade B, Starting spinal point 03 | Future potential to spinal point 04

Plus Local Government Pension Scheme.

Hours:  37 hours per week; Monday to Friday & 52 weeks a year | working a rotating shift pattern;

2 weeks working 7am- 3pm & 2 weeks working 2pm - 10pm; finishing earlier on a Friday.

Annual leave: 24 days per annum, plus 8 bank holidays.

The successful candidate will ensure that the school site is maintained and clean for all staff, visitors and students.  They will act as a keyholder, ensuring the security of the site, and carrying out security procedures, including unlocking at the start of the day, and ensuring the site and all its buildings are secure at the end of the day.

Their main duties will include basic maintenance and repairs, grounds works, site security, receiving and distribution of deliveries, liaising with contractors, and some cleaning.

Excellent DIY skills are essential, previous grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.   Prospective candidates are most welcome to visit the school prior to submitting their application.
