Job Details

The Trust is investing in an exciting new residential provision in Tile Cross Birmingham, a three bedded home for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties. The home will provide a up to three placements in an emergency for children 8 to 17years. The project is in its early stages and we would like a dynamic Home Manager to join the residential team to lead the project with the residential head of service.

 

Birmingham Children’s Trust is going from strength to strength. We are the largest provider of family support and social care services for children, young people and families in the country. Our goal is to become a center of excellence in both social care and family support.

 

We have an excellent residential provision that offers long term and short breaks to disabled children and their families.

 

As part of Birmingham Childrens Trust the residential service benefit from then partnerships across the trust and work with Social Care Services, Education and Health to provide wholistic services and the best package of care to children.

 

The provision will be Ofsted registered and operate within the legal framework of The Childrens Homes Regulations and The Quality Standards 2015. The role is subject to satisfactory DBS check, references and a 6 month probationary period. The successful candidate will be required to apply for registration with Ofsted to be the Registered Manager.

 

We are looking for a dynamic enthusiastic person who has extensive experience of leading residential teams and are passionate about getting the best outcomes for children and their families.

 

For this role we are looking for someone who has experience supervising and managing professional staff, be able to set clear direction and objectives and assume accountability, someone who inspires others by acting with integrity. You will manage, build and motivate residential teams, creating a positive environment which encourages open discussion and innovation, supports performance, builds capability and empowers staff.

 

You will need to hold the QCF level 5 or equivalent. You will be expected to undertake a range of training, including training in leadership and managing people.
