The Role


13.75 Hours per Week

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly-effective After School Club Coordinator. This role will include planning and preparing for exciting and creative activities as well as the provision of high-quality care and wellbeing arrangements after school.
Some additional hours working in school as a Teaching Assistant during the afternoons may be offered for a suitably qualified and experienced applicant. This would be supporting intervention work in Years 1 or 2.

Key Requirements

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Childcare and Education
Awareness of national standards for EYFS and childcare
Ability to use own initiative
Experience of managing others and ability to lead and guide others
Ability to communicate effectively with adults and children in a positive and constructive manner
Ability to be positive and consistent when managing relationships and behaviour
Being committed to safeguarding children

Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a school or childcare setting within the last five years, and an awareness of school policies and procedures. They should be keen to enhance their own knowledge through additional training.
Applicants should ideally have current paediatric First Aid training, or be willing to undertake it.
