We are looking to appoint an efficient, well organised and proactive Cleaning Supervisor. To provide consistently a high standard of cleaning from themselves and their team.
This is a key role that would suit someone with a meticulous eye for detail, a focused approach to cleaning and site safety. You must be able to work on your own initiative and be proactive in dealing with day to day tasks. You will need to have the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, maintain records and systems and lead effectively a team. Flexibility in working hours is essential.
You will be a nominated keyholder.
You must be able to read and write instructions, complete orders of stock and work out measurements; have previous cleaning experience; be able to supervise and demonstrate to staff; have good communication skills; be able to operate equipment and use materials; display commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people; value and understand the needs of staff and children; understand and operate within regulations; solve straightforward problems and respond to unforeseen circumstances (ie staff absences, accidents etc)
Your main duties will be to:
•Open up the school gates for afternoon collection by parents
•Be responsible for the cleaning of designated areas
•Monitor standards and performance of other cleaning staff
•Organise and schedule the team of cleaning staff
•Supervise cleaning staff, including undertaking induction training and identifying training needs, monitor attendance and timekeeping, arrange and provide cover for absence, assist in recruiting cleaning staff.
•Stock take of cleaning materials and order via the SBM
•Undertake any training required for the role as identified by the Executive Headteacher
•Ensure the relevant materials and equipment are available to carry out the cleaning tasks
•Remove all recycling from both sites
•Remove rubbish daily as required
•Lock up and secure buildings and site in the evening
•Ensure lettings are catered for, eg heating, lighting
•Liaise closely with site supervisor and SBM
•Contribute to the schools statutory duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children
