We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Accounting Technician to join our highly regarded Financial Operations Division in the permanent role of Schools Finance Officer, within our busy Schools Finance Team.

We are looking for someone with good technical accounting skills and great interpersonal and communication skills to act as the dedicated Schools Finance Officer for a portfolio of schools, and to support those schools with all of their financial matters.

This is a varied and interesting role which ultimately contributes to the education of the borough’s children by helping schools to plan and use their resources effectively.

You will also have:

  • Full membership MAAT (or equivalent)
  • Excellent IT skills with significant experience of using Excel (or equivalent) effectively and efficiently to analyse and interpret complex data
  • Strong numeracy, financial and analytical skills
  • Effective organisation skills and an ability to plan and prioritise your own work load
  • Strong communication / interpersonal skills

We believe in investing in training and providing support for our staff to develop their careers.
