Level 2 Teaching assistant

The vacancy will be a classroom based role and will be supporting the learning of a pupil with SEND needs in a 1:1 capacity. Candidates will need to show initiative and be able to work as part of a team to provide a caring and stimulating learning environment for the children. This position would be in a year one classroom initially but may be subject to change.

You will need to be qualified to NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent), SEND experience is also a desirable quality and the candidate must have good interpersonal skills, ICT skills and enjoy working with children. You will be required to support lunchtime duties.

Salary/Grade: Level 2 – (£18,065 to £19,945 FTE) pro rata

Hours per week: 32.5 (8.30am-3.30pm daily) 1 hours inset time per week.

Weeks per year: Term Time Only (plus training days)
