Habilitation Specialist

Habilitation Specialist for Children and Young People with Vision Impairments – Worcestershire. Part time 30 hours, term time only.

Salary range based on 30hours Term Time (39 weeks):

£19,236 - £20,509

We are a highly regarded team supporting learners with a sensory impairment in mainstream settings across the county. This is an opportunity to join the team as a Habilitation Specialist for Children and Young People with Vision Impairments, to provide assessment, teaching and support for children and young people with vision impairments from birth – 25 years. Support will be in family homes, early years settings, mainstream schools and FE colleges across Worcestershire.

We are seeking to appoint a committed, experienced and highly motivated practitioner with excellent interpersonal skills, the confidence to manage a caseload of children and ability to travel across the county. We welcome applications from Qualified Habilitation Specialists for Children and Young People with Vision Impairments as well as from those who are currently undertaking the qualification, or other experienced practitioners in the field of VI who would be willing to undertake the Mandatory PGDiploma training course.
