Unqualified Teacher/Instructor (Alternative Provision Centre)
We are looking for a motivated and experienced candidate to teach and contribute to the management of our Alternative Provision Centre, to include responsibility for the safeguarding aspects of the pupils within the Centre.
The focus will be on providing high quality support and provision for pupils who are unable to access full-time educational provision within the mainstream classroom. The post will involve the preparation, delivery and assessment of all curriculum subjects to students, up to GCSE level, to ensure that they are prepared to sit public examinations at the end of their GCSE courses.
Unqualified Teacher/Instructor (Alternative Provision Centre) – Full Time
To 31 August 2022 (in the first instance)
Unqualified Teacher Scale – Scp 1 £18,169 to Scp 6 £28,735
Starting Salary is Scp 1 £18,169 pa
Scp 2 £20,282 pa with a degree and/or at least three years’ classroom experience
The post will be of interest to colleagues who enjoy working with young people who face challenges in accessing mainstream education, but who have the ability to succeed in a specific environment. Applications are welcome from qualified teachers who may wish for a change in their career, whilst remaining in a teaching environment; those who may have partially completed a teacher training course, along with experienced classroom practitioners who do not possess a formal teaching qualification.
