This is an exciting opportunity to join Telford & Wrekin Council’s newly formed Transport Team.Do you want to be playing a proactive role in ensuring the delivery of safe, reliable, sustainable, and innovative value for money transport services for the residents of Telford? If so, this is your opportunity to be at the forefront of delivering.
We are looking for someone who wants make a difference to the lives of people in Telford and Wrekin by working with internal and external partners to support the procurement, planning and delivery of passenger transport services for the Council.
The post holder will support the Transport Team Leader in the development of the Council’s in house fleet transport service working in partnership with council services and external organisations to provide transport for disabled and vulnerable adults and children and community and other bus services.
Successful candidates will be responsible for the operation of buses which provide specialist transport to passengers, including children with special educational needs, adults with disabilities, social care clients and members of the general public accessing bespoke services.
Other tasks include supporting in the administration of care and transport services for vulnerable people and assist to maintain a service which ensures the provision of high quality, cost effective placements and contracted support/transport services for vulnerable people.
